The Midleton Very Rare Silent Distillery Collection is a celebration of the last drops of whiskey produced by the Old Midleton Distillery before it closed its doors forever. The distillery, which was famous throughout the world for Irish whiskey, had been in operation for over 150 years before it was decommissioned in 1975, making this whiskey truly one-of-a-kind.

The collection comprises six bottles, with each release representing some of the very last drops of the inimitable spirit from the Old Midleton Distillery. At The Whiskey Reserve, we are proud to offer bottles 1-3 of this highly sought-after collection, and we look forward to completing the full set when the remaining bottles are released.

Each bottle in the Midleton Very Rare Silent Distillery Collection is a masterpiece, showcasing the skill and expertise of four legendary Master Distillers. The first release, Chapter One, was overseen by Emeritus Barry Crockett, son of Max Crockett, the ‘forefather’ of modern-day Irish whiskey. The whiskey was aged for 45 years and sourced from peat that was carefully selected by Barry himself, making it the last peated whiskey ever produced by the Old Midleton Distillery.
